  Stopped by on way out of town.
  
  Tacos were all good. No tiny wimpy big city stuff where tacos shrink and $ goes up.
  Barbacoa  , carne guisada, fajita... all were good and filling.
  Chips and salsa were quite good. No oily wimpy chips here.
  
  Salsas were all good. Even had some kick to one of them.
  This is not a gourmet place (if one would oddly expect that here). Simple place with tasty food.

  My wife and I had lunch yesterday yes open on (Monday) , lunch specials daily and always consistent. Plates are the same on special or not , my favorite is the combos enchilada and puffy tacos ( only issue is taco's get soaked ) and fall apart , my fix is wrap in extra tortilla, maybe put on separate sm plate no rice and beans with the combos but most plate do.  My wife's favorite is the chicken tortilla soup with homemade corn tortillas and again always good. Small Hometown restaurant so basic and clean , and meals come out fast and hot. Servers are friendly and if you want your meal your way"Tell Them " and you'll get it.

  This restaurant was WAY overhyped as one of the BEST places in Pleasanton. I expected it to be that "hole in the wall" restaurant  you go back home and brag about. Eh. . .
  
  Myself and my wonderful wife who smashes on Messican food like no other, were greeted by the owner I'm guessing, She was standoffish and turned us away from any small talk we tried to initiate. I mean, this does not attribute to the restaurant getting 3 stars by all means, but I love a good owner who is friendly, funny, warm and welcoming; it's just my personal preference is all.
  Anyways, we're seated and the waitress comes over quickly. She takes our order followed by her calling us "boss" over and over again. It's all good, I liked her approach.
  
  We ordered chicken sour cream enchiladas and two tacos. The chips and salsa were ok. The salsa had too much citrus for my taste.
  Our order came out fast!
  The enchildas were good, the beans had a smokey flavor that is normally not found in Messican beans. It was pretty effin amazing!
  I couldnt stop eating those dang messican strawberries (beans). Rice was really nicely cooked and flavored. The corn tortillas were Fabulous fam. Yum.
  
  Now.... let's talk about the crunchy beef tacos.
  In my Simon Cowell voice: "It was a complete and  utter mess, do you have a Crunchy taco - cooking instructor back there in the kitchen somewhere? You do?
  Ok, now go get yourself a lawyer and sue them."
  
  Bros. It was the worst taco in the universe and would probably tie for last place in the galaxy with a pile of mud. There was an ocean of salt in the taco and the taste was way off in left field like the kid with an  oversized baseball glove whom no other kid wants to play with but you have to invite to your birthday party because your mom is making you. El terrible.
  
  Anyways, as we are leaving I asked one of the waitress is we could get to go teas, she ignored me and didnt even acknowledge my existence, I felt like that kid in... left field - playing in the grass, wondering If all his frogs keep on dying because there are no hole on the top of the jar lid. I Was THAT kid today! Yes I was.
  
  Anyhoo. We got our tea realizing they charged us for the cups, no big deal, of course - shifters never charges us, Cancun never charges us, chris cafe never charges us, or mi tierra or really anywhere else that we go. No big deal....
  
  The owner checked us out, you could cut the awkward silence with a plastic butter knife.
  She did thanks us as we two stepped it the hell our of there.
  Overalls, it's not a bad place for jordanton Texas.
  The question is, will we go back and how many stars is too many or not enough. I think it's a solid 3. Its probably just not for us, as we are foreigners to the area. Go Waco!

  I really like this restaurant. Food is always good staff is friendly and attentive.  Bean and cheese with bacon and barbacoa are my absolute favori

  I've been a few times already with a friend who loves it there. The staff is fast at bringing menus and drinks. Sometimes food takes a while but it's expected at lunch time. Chicken fried steak was disgusting and the cheese enchiladas are not that great. Too much American cheese in them but I understand it's the more melty cheese. Rice is okay. The salsa is what you want to go for. It's very good. The last time I went the ladies were sweeping the dining room and were sweeping next to my table hitting my foot a couple of times with no apologies. I'm sorry but sweeping when I'm eating is gross. I know my table is high but just the thought of dust flying in my food is no bueno. I try to sit by the front so I don't see the cart full of dirty dishes toward the restroom. The prices are very high compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area that serve the exact same food.
